YCBA Sunday League

 

Doncaster Bridge Club currently enters 6 teams of 8 players (2007-2008 season) in the regional YCBA Sunday League. In any one season, which runs from October to March, each team plays 7 matches against other teams from the Yorkshire region. The ‘F’ team play 9 matches.

Northern League

 

The Yorkshire Contract Bridge Association (YCBA) enters 4 teams (which includes an Under 25 team) to play against other teams from within the northern region. These teams are:

Cumbria

Lancashire

Merseyside

Yorkshire

Manchester

North East

Lincolnshire

National Inter-Club Knockout Competition

(NICKO) Teams of Four

& National Inter-Club Knockout Plate

 

A number of independently created teams of 4 from Doncaster enter the annual NICKO competition. This is a national green-pointed competition and further details can be seen here. (This will open a new window).

The club is always willing to allow the use of its facilities for the staging of team matches of this sort so that matches can be held in a formal bridge setting rather than being held within a player’s home.
