Bob Brown and Dave Butler

beat 14 Grade 1 pairs to finish second only to Tony McNiff and Bill Townsend
in the Yorkshire Masters Pairs at Bradford Bridge Club
on Sunday 17th May

Having won the Grade 2 competition in 2008 Bob and Dave entered again
at Grade 2 to defend their title. Grades of entry were determined by players’
master point rankings but the event was played over 60 boards with all pairs
playing 2 or 3 boards against every other pair regardless of standing.
